This tour will take you into the bizarre world of Palestinian transportation issues. Traveling from Bethlehem to Ramallah takes about 20 minutes by car through Jerusalem. However due to the Israeli restrictions on Palestinian movement, the people of Bethlehem and the southern West Bank are forced to travel on a circuitous route to Ramallah which takes about 1 1/2 hours or more, along 'Palestinian Only' roads for most of the trip, and subjected to close scrutiny at several checkpoints. You are invited to share this journey. more

5 hours - This tour covers a wide swath of the Central West Bank but does not enter Area 'A', under the control of the Palestinian Authority. Israelis may come on this tour since military regulations permit travel the West Bank within area 'C' which is under Israeli military and civilian control. International tourists are, of course, also invited. The route of the tour will give participants an understanding of the mechanisms through which Israel retains control over most of the territory captured during the 1967 war. more

The group will visit the Ibrahimi Mosque, and the market where Israeli settler strongholds have squeezed the life out of the formerly thriving area. The tour begins at the Daila Center with a short introduction to the history of the Jewish community in the Arab world focusing on its encounter with Zionism and the state of Israel. From there we will walk to Musrara neighborhood, only a 5 minute walk from the center of west Jerusalem on what was until 1967 the “Seam Line” (Israeli-Jordanian border). We will walk around the neighborhood for 2-3 hours learning about its history and the story of the Middle Eastern “Mizrahi” Jew's social struggle. more

7 hours - On the way from Jerusalem to Nablus the tour passes sections of the 'Separation Barrier' and Israeli settlements. Inside Nablus the tour visits the Balata refugee camp and martyr's cemetery, historical sites, the city’s famous market, and the Samaritans village on Mount Grizim. The tour covers ancient and modern times, and the city’s current status as an closed ghetto of the Palestinian Authority. Nablus is virtually completely closed off by Israeli military checkpoints and cars are not allowed into or out of the city without special permits. more

Taybeh Brewery - every Tuesday

4 hours - The micro-brewery is situated in a Christian Palestinian village about 15 kilometers north-east of Jerusalem and was established by two brothers in 1995. The tour travels from Jerusalem through settlements and Palestinian villages giving an overview of the Occupation infrastructure and Separation Wall. At the brewery the group is hosted by the owners' family, a tour of the facility is given, and visitors may sample and purchase beer. more
